A Ball Float Steam Trap is a
mechanical steam trap designed to efficiently remove condensate while
preventing steam loss. It operates using a floating ball mechanism that rises
and falls with condensate levels, automatically opening the discharge valve to drain
water. Ball float and thermostatic steam traps, equipped with an integral air
vent, are designed for modulating condensate discharge, ensuring maximum system
heat transfer. Typical applications include unit heaters, heat exchangers,
dryers, jacketed vessels, and other systems where continuous discharge and high
flow capacity are essential.
- Modulates condensate discharge at steam temperature
- Unaffected by sudden or wide load and pressure variations
- Prevents condensate backup
- Efficient air discharge via integrated air vent
- Adjustable flow direction by repositioning the body relative to the mechanism and cover
- Rapid system startup with a thermostatic air venting capsule for condensate at ≥100°C.
